  LUPCT warmly welcomes foreign teachers to work here and fully supports the performance of your duties relevant to your foreign teacher status. You enjoy full membership of our working staff, with access to all the resources, facilities and activities of the campus on similar terms to our own staff. You will be provided with certain conditions of employment and privileges; you are also expected to observe certain laws and rules during your stay here as a teacher.
  You are expected to abide by the laws and decrees of the Chinese Government; you are not allowed to indulge in alcoholic drinking, which would interfere with your teaching(bad influence resulted from drinking alcohol will be fined from 100 to 500 RMB); observe the rules and regulations of the university and respect Chinese customs.
  You may hold your dissenting personal views on Chinese issues, racial issues and religion issues, but in the meantime, dissemination of them among teachers and students will not be appreciated.
  You are not allowed to accept payments from other institutions or individuals because gainful part-time employment off campus is illegal according to the Chinese Government policies.
  You are not allowed to reschedule or be absent from your teaching class as a guest speaker without the permission of the department you work in. If necessary, you should ask for leave from our center beforehand and make up for the absent class at appropriate time. Those who are absent from class for no reason will be fined 50-200 Yuan RMB; your absence should not exceed five times in a semester, otherwise you’ll be fired. Being on time for your class, 6 minutes late or leave earlier than regular time will be fined 10 Yuan RMB for each time.
You should be well prepared for your teaching, correct students' work assignments carefully,keep record of students’ attendance, guarantee your teaching quality and make every effort to complete the teaching responsibilities assigned to you by the departments you teach in.
   The apartment assigned to you is for your exclusive use and cannot be used by visitors for overnight accommodations. The visitors’ receiving time cannot exceed 10:30 pm. The facilities and materials in the activity classroom are available only for foreign teachers and the working staff.
  For safety concerns, you should keep the centre informed of your whereabouts, which includes when you are leaving and returning, if you will spend time far from the campus for a long time or stay overnight off campus.

  All facilities inside the apartment are property of the university, which are not allowed to be removed. Free water, electricity, local telephone services and Internet surfing fee are provided, but you should pay for the gas.
You are expected to conserve water and electricity, and take good care of the facilities inside. If destroyed, compensation must be made.
If our contract is over and we haven’t signed continuous contract, you can stay in our university for 7 days free, then pay for the overtime fee.
Observe the fire prevention rules; Gas stove and water heater must be carefully used; gas, electric facilities, doors and windows should be shut off when you are out in case of accidents.
For those who carry out these rules mentioned above carefully and those who are highly praised by the students you teach at the end of the signed contract will be rewarded by our university.
  The Information is interpreted by this center and shall be amended at any time to meet the needs of new situations.
